WEEK 9 - STORYTELLING

Hello to all of you, my dear blog readers :) 

       In the Digital Storytelling project we did as a group with Simay and İlayda, we first decided to create a story concept around seasonal changes. Before we started creating this story, we had to blend the main theme of the story and the topic we chose. While creating the story, we presented ideas to each other, but some of the ideas were not suitable for our topic and some of them were not age-appropriate. In the end, we came to a common idea and decided to tell about the seasons, which months are in which seasons and which fruits and vegetables are in which seasons. We focused on the computational thinking skills of problem solving and creativity, which form the basis of story creation because the most indispensable elements of a story are identifying a problem and using creativity to solve the problem to reach the end. I don't think we were able to make enough use of the logical thinking topic because when designing a story, it was very difficult to integrate logical thinking due to the supernatural events of the story.

        The most important tools we used to design this digital book were of course Canva and Storyjumper. These applications were very useful because of their functionality, allowing for creativity and being visually complementary. I shouldn't talk more about the content of this book and the flow of the story in my blog because I am curious about your reactions when it is published.
